International Women’s Day

We are gathering on International Women’s Day to honour the historical struggles of women worldwide in achieving equality and liberty. Also, we want to appreciate and echo the “Women, Life, Freedom” revolution as a feminist revolution and a symbol of the courageous Iranian women and men who fought and continue fighting against the gender apartheid regime of Iran.

As another step towards assisting the Iranian people’s revolution and ongoing effort on demanding justice and liberty, the IHSE is proud to announce that Mayor Amarjeet Sohi has named the month of March “Woman Life Freedom” in honour of courageous Iranian women. We greatly appreciate the support from the municipality of the Capital of Alberta.

Long live the names and memories of those murdered or executed for pleading for liberty and equality. Long live the women and all those fighting for human rights against the Islamic Republic Regime in Iran.

Anniversary of The Downing of Flight PS752

Justice prevails.


On the 3rd anniversary of the downing of Flight PS752 and in support of the Iranian Revolution, join the memorial service and vigil on January 8 at the University of Alberta.

Iranian Heritage Society of Edmonton and the Iranian Student Association of the University of Alberta, in collaboration with the PS752Justice association in Canada, invite everyone to attend the third memorial of downing flight PS752 and honour all lives lost by the brutal theocratic regime in Iran. The event consists of speeches and performances (indoor) and a vigil at the memorial site (outside).

Yalda is an indication that light overcomes darkness, the harbinger that the Sun rises after the dark of the night, and the hope that our homeland will be liberated from the devil’s claws.

While our courageous people have rightly taken aim at the heart of cruelty with empty hands, we will gather together again to raise our voices from thousands of miles away.

We would like to invite you to join us to honor the memory of lost lives, imprisoned comrades, and all those fighting on the side of righteousness.

The Time Has Come

THE TIME HAS COME!

Three years ago, on these days, after cutting off the Internet, the Islamic regime turned the mass protests of the Iranian people against oppression into a scene of a great massacre.
Today, we Iranians all over the world, in memory of the victims of this heinous crime and the continuation of their journey, gather once again to put an end to this machine of murder, repression and crime with the help of each other.

Iranian Heritage Society of Edmonton, in coordination with the PS752 and 1500Tasvir victim families associations, will host an event on November 19 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Event details:

🗓 November 19th; start the rally at 2:30 pm

📍 intersection of 106 St and 82 Ave

📌we will rally toward the University of Alberta – Centennial Centre for Interdisciplinary Science – Lecture Theatre:1-440

📌there will be signs; however, feel free to bring your signs and flags

📌throughout the rally volunteers distribute one-pager information on the #IranRevolution

📌there will be hot beverages at the end of the rally inside the Lecture Theater

📌we gladly share that representatives of the Ukrainian Congress in Edmonton will attend and members of parliament in Edmonton have been invited!

📌This is a public event and we encourage everybody to attend and support #IranRevolution
